Nothing Dignified About Running 100 Miles: My Story on the Boldly Went Podcast!
Back in January, I attended a Boldly Went live storytelling event here in Seattle. These fun shows are for outdoor enthusiasts and athletes of all kinds. You can just listen or be prepared to share your own story. It’s a great way to hear other people’s adventures – whether they are life-changing events or entertaining epic fails! The stories from the live shows are then curated into the Boldly Went podcast.
At the event, I was lucky enough to be chosen to share my story, and it was a great experience! Have you ever swapped stories with friends around a campfire? It’s just like that, but in a bigger room, with lots of new friends. (And let’s be honest, beer is liquid courage in both situations.)
Below is the full podcast that includes my story about an, um, undignified and prickly situation at my Javelina Jundred 100 miler last October. The whole episode is great, but just so you know, my story starts at 15:33. If you want to learn more about the episode, check out the Field Notes page. Enjoy!
I encourage you to check out the Boldly Went podcast and see if there are any live storytelling events in your area so you can join in on the fun! What’s your undignified adventure moment?
